One more thing to cross out of my bucket list! Yup I saw the White House it was pretty cool, although I did not see Obama but that’s ok! It was not what I imagined but it was an amazing experience. I always imagined the White House as this huge place with nothing around it but no I was wrong! The White House was not as big as I imagined and there was buildings right next to it with and a beautiful park in front of it.

I love the squirrels in D.C! They are not your ordinary PCC squirrels who run around and mind their own business, nope! These grey and white DC squirrels made me feel welcomed. These squirrels are so friendly they let people pet them! I always wanted to pet one, but when I had the chance I freaked out.

Even though we went to bed late, we were up bright and early to check out
the National Mall. What a sight to see! Pictures and movies hardly do any
justice to these monuments. They are truly captivating and represent our
nation’s past. We are all truly lucky to be a part of this trip.

We made it safe! :)

Metro Rides

Just finished hearing the first group of panelists, but already I feel very
inspired to listen, network, and share knowledge with others around me.

It begins.

Epic!!

So many things to think about as well as prepare for. Didn’t get enough
sleep, but the overall excitement is making up for it.

WE MADE IT SAFELY!

Although, Most of is are more dead than alive after that trip.

Alright, I’m writing this in flight. We took off about 15 minutes ago. As a
first time flyer, I must say this is pretty entertaining (even though I’m
squished between two random people. It’s all good though!). This flying
thing is something a little euphoric. Take off was amazing! The thrill of
hearing the turbines spool up with their delightful whine in unison with
that “shoot you to the back of your seat” sensation. As we lifted into the
sky I got a little woozy for a second seeing how it was an uncommon
experience for me…anyway, everything is going well thus far, plus the
scenery is intense. I feel like I am living Google Earth!

P.s. Thankfully I have some pretty snazzy headphones that were gifted to me
the other day by a good friend. They have effectively silenced the crying
baby ;]
