PLAC Scholarship

Qualifications:
- Have completed at least 12 units at PCC/CEC
- Be a student enrolled in 9 units at time of application
- Plan to either continue enrollment at PCC for the following semester OR transfer to a 4-year university with proof of registration
- GPA is based on pool of applicants
- Demonstrate financial need
- Demonstrate involvement in extracurricular or community activities
- Demonstrate how through your interactions with the Latino community you have an understanding of the Latino culture
- Demonstrate how achieving your career goals will positively affect the Latino community
TABE Scholarship
Due: May 4, 2012 by 4:00pm

- U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Transfer or Career and Technical Ed. program student at Pasadena City College
- Cumulative PCC grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or above
- Completed 24 units or more at PCC
AB540 Scholarships for Undocumented Students(Dream Act)
Undocumented students can start applying for state financial aid beginning April 2, 2012! The 2012-13 California Dream Act Application for AB 131 Institutional grants and community college fee waivers (payable starting January 2013) is now available! Please share widely! Due to the high need of this time sensitive information the PCC Undocumented Allies along with the Students United Without Boundaries Club will be having a DIY workshop to review the current Dream Act application to trouble shoot any questions or issues that may come up. We invite you to participate in this first general meeting. Also we hope that you can keep the Allies and students posted about any upcoming workshops, meetings, or event’s you may know about for these undocumented students in the near future.

TABE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The TABE Scholarship is sponsored by The Pasadena City College Association of Black Employees (TABE). Several scholarships are issued each year by the association.
Qualifications
1. U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
2. Transfer or Career and Technical Ed. Program student at Pasadena City College (PCC)
3. Cumulative PCC grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or above
4. Completed 24 or more units at PCC
Application Process
1. Complete TABE Scholarship Application. Application must be typed online and printed. Do not download
and handwrite application
2. Compose a one to two-page typed personal statement describing your educational and career goals at PCC
and any hardships or obstacles that you have overcome to achieve them
3. Two letters of recommendation from an instructor, counselor, or advisor
