Investigating the affect of hot tea on the denaturation of enzymes.
Winners of the Whipped Cream Challenge: Gabriella, Wendy, Sharon, and Melissa, for creating the most voluminous whipped cream.
Mission: To make the most voluminous whipped cream.
Learning objectives:
— Understand intermolecular forces and apply to biological systems.
— Investigate the affects of several variables on the quality and stability of emulsions.
— Practice the scientific method.
Students learned about emulsions and why they are important to biological organisms. We had a contest to see who could produce the most voluminous whipped cream which is an emulsion. In addition we investigated how different variables affected volume.
