Have you ever operated a power tool? For the majority of the Aquaponics student leaders, the answer was no. However, that didn’t stop them. After a quick training on how to safely operate the tools, the students revved up and got to work. Slicing and dicing, the Aquaponics leaders had no problem getting comfortable and enjoying the tools’ speed and power.

Nothing was left to the imagination as students from the Pre-Health Sciences Cohort pathway dissected cats during their Anatomy 25 class.

Why cats?  Cats have a similar anatomy to humans, making it a great way to learn about man’s anatomy in the absence of a human cadaver. Through the lab experience, students were able to make comparisons between the cat’s and human’s anatomy, giving them deeper understanding and clearer picture of what they are learning from their lectures and text books.
