Exam 2 Probable Questions

Posted by & filed under 2013PLC Private.

I believe osmosis and the probability postulate will be subjects covered on
the exam. My question would be set up by giving a picture of a system with
pure water on one side of a semi-permeable membrane and an aqueous solution
on the other side. The question would be: What would be the state in which
we would observe this system? Explain why.

Possible Exam Question

I really enjoyed the “Whipped Cream” experiment and found that
actively learning about emulsion was more interesting than reading it from
a book. I propose a question relate to the experiment, such as
drawing/labeling or explaining how the molecules are structured to create
the “fluffiness” and “whipped” part of the cream. Looking at different
people’s ideas on what they thought the molecule looked like was
interesting and will demonstrate who was paying attention if asked to
draw/label the correct structure.

Preparations for exam 1 included studying over the weekend and meeting up
with a study group. I spent a lot of my time going over calculation
problems per the worksheets given on canvas. After finishing the exam, I
realized that I studied the wrong way. There was not that many calculation
problems, but a lot of concept explaining problems. I believe that
practicing at explaining the concepts would be a more beneficial form of
studying. Now, for future exams I plan to meet with a study group and
practice teaching/explaining the test material. Also, taking turns at
verbally quizzing one another on particular topics. This way we can test
our knowledge and give and take from each others explanations. My current
goal is to go over exam 1 and make sure I have those concepts down and
locked. This material was placed first for a reason; it’s a foundation for
the rest. I plan to meet with a study group this week and go over it bit by
bit, until I am confident in it. This will also prepare me for exam 2. I
will be ready to tackle it with practice, practice, practice.

Hello everyone, my name is Isis. This is my first time using Tumblr so I
am not too familiar on how to use this. I will start to introduce myself
by letting you all know a little bit about myself and my goals. I am a
full time mother, wife and student, an interesting fact about me is that I
recently had a baby boy (last month!). As I am still adjusting to my new
life and my studies, I am looking forward to this new method of
teaching/learning that is being offered by this “combo” course. It’s been
a while since I’ve been student like this, so I may start out a bit shaky
at first. Once I get my momentum going I’m sure I’ll be OK.
