HACU is giving out prizes as they closes the student track. Wish us luck! I see a Kindle touch, DVD player, external Hard Drives, and more.
The concurrent session I like the most today was the “CIA: What Type of Leader are You? Understanding Yourself and Your Leadership style”. In this session they went over the different types of leadership by having us take a survey and solve a problem. The four main styles are driver, expressive, amiable, and analytic. After taking the CIAs peer style survey, I found out that I was analytical. Knowing this has highlighted the areas I need to work on to become a more rounded leader. I hope that the concurrent sessions tomorrow are as helpfully as this one! You can try the survey by clicking the link below.

The National Mall is amazing! After having breakfast, we headed towards the national mall. I was really excited on going sightseeing because I had never been there before. The memorials and monuments were captivating with there architectural design and detail. I definitely enjoyed the green scenery and the really friendly squirrels.
Finally finished packing and now I eagerly wait for what tomorrow will bring! This will be the first time I have ever been to Washington D.C. and I am so excited to meet new people and possibly go sightseeing. Though I do not know what the HACU trip will be like, I have feeling this will be a good growing experience for us. I personally can’t wait to see all the science internships and research opportunities the HACU 2012 conference has to offer.
Goodbye Los Angeles, hello Washington D.C.!
We appreciate any and all feedback about our site; praise, ideas, bug reports you name it!
